about
I wrote this song during quarantine in my childhood home after returning from overseas with my family. This song is about how we marked time watching birds, butterflies and busses, but it's dedicated to the family, friends and neighbours who got in touch, brought us food and waved from the sidewalk.
lyrics
I’m watching through a window, I wave hello as the world goes by
I get excited when the bus comes, I get my exercise watching butterflies
Outside the house it’s pretty quiet, nobody’s calling but the birds
But somebody’s gotta watch and listen
So the butterflies are seen and the birds are heard
So we know when the bus is coming by us
So I can be a part of this world
Sunny days are good for seeing, windy days for listening
A rainy day’s just right for being me and being me I love to sing
Wednesday, Tuesday, Monday, Happy Birthday too (To you!)
Saturday and Sunday, I could sing every day with you
Chorus
I’m getting really good at looking out, mom says I’m good looking too
And one of my favourite things to see is the smile on a friend like you
I made a rainbow for the window, took Mr. Snuggles from the shelf
Underneath the rainbow by a teddy bear is where I put myself
I’m watching through a window, I wave hello as the world goes by
I get excited when the bus comes, I get my exercise watching butterflies
Outside the house it’s pretty quiet, nobody’s calling but the birds
But somebody’s gotta watch and listen
So the butterflies are seen and the birds are heard
So we know when the bus is coming by us
So I can be a part of this world

This album has silly but profound songwriting (What makes the breakfast) as well as hilarious skits between songs that keep me and my six year-old laughing. My Friend Christopher
